I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Harvard University. I received a Ph.D. in Sociology from Columbia University. My research draws on quantitative and computational methods to explore the nature of group membership. I have published on policing, partisanship, as well as ethnoracial identification and classification. My work has been supported by the Russell Sage Foundation and has appeared in the American Sociological Review, the American Journal of Sociology, and Criminology.
